چکیده
Abstract From any state of economic and environmental assets, the maximin value defines highest level utility that can be sustained forever. Along development path, evolves over time according to investment decisions. If current is lower than this value, there room for growth both value. For resource allocation mechanism ( ram ) dynamics, limited by long-run which an endogenous dynamic sustainability constraint. reaches limit, imposes stop, adoption decisions instead . We illustrate pattern in two canonical models, simple fishery a two-sector economy with nonrenewable resource. discuss what our results imply assessment short long run non-optimal economies.

متن کاملIncreasing Returns and Long-Run Growth
This paper presents a fully specified model of long-run growth in which knowledge is assumed to be an input in production that has increasing marginal productivity. It is essentially a competitive equilibrium model with endogenous technological change. In contrast to models based on diminishing returns, growth rates can be increasing over time, the effects of small disturbances can be amplified...

متن کاملGrowth and Fertility in the Long Run
This paper develops a theory that accounts for three stylized facts concerning growth and fertility in the long run. First, economies start in a “Malthusian Regime” with stagnant living standards and high fertility. Second, ultimately a “Growth Regime” is reached in which per capita income grows at near-constant rates, and fertility is low. Third, the speed and timing of the fertility decline d...
